January 2025

I really wanted to focus solely in one direction, but I can not share my spiritual side on Horse Touch for Health & Healing now that we started this non-profit. However, I still feel that the only success that I can have is by putting God first.

I shared my trepidation of continuing down this path of separation and having the temptation to quit altogether because it is contrary to last year’s goals with my Transformation Coach Networking Group. It was suggested that my perfectionism may be the root cause of my anxiety on this. That is probably true!

Then, I received some encouragement in my email:

“𝐼𝑡 [𝐻𝑒𝑎𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝐻𝑜𝑟𝑠𝑒 𝑇𝑜𝑢𝑐ℎ] 𝑠𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑑𝑠 𝑙𝑖𝑘𝑒 𝑎 𝑤𝑜𝑛𝑑𝑒𝑟𝑓𝑢𝑙 𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑟𝑝𝑟𝑖𝑠𝑒! 𝐼 𝑗𝑢𝑠𝑡 𝑤𝑖𝑠ℎ 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑤𝑒𝑟𝑒 𝑙𝑜𝑐𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑑 𝑛𝑒𝑎𝑟 𝑚𝑒, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝐼 𝑤𝑜𝑢𝑙𝑑 𝑏𝑒 𝑜𝑣𝑒𝑟 𝑡𝑜 ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑔 𝑜𝑢𝑡 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝑡ℎ𝑒 ℎ𝑜𝑟𝑠𝑒𝑠!

𝐼 𝑔𝑟𝑒𝑤 𝑢𝑝 𝑜𝑛 𝑎 𝑠𝑚𝑎𝑙𝑙 ℎ𝑜𝑏𝑏𝑦 𝑓𝑎𝑟𝑚 𝑎𝑛𝑑 ℎ𝑎𝑑 𝑎 ℎ𝑜𝑟𝑠𝑒 𝑜𝑓 𝑚𝑦 𝑜𝑤𝑛 𝑎𝑠 𝑎 𝑘𝑖𝑑. 𝐼 𝑜𝑓𝑡𝑒𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑘 𝑎𝑏𝑜𝑢𝑡 𝑠𝑡𝑜𝑝𝑝𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡𝑜 ‘𝑣𝑜𝑙𝑢𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑒𝑟’ 𝑎𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑙𝑜𝑐𝑎𝑙 𝑒𝑞𝑢𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑖𝑎𝑛 𝑐𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑟 𝑏𝑢𝑡 ℎ𝑒𝑠𝑖𝑡𝑎𝑡𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑏𝑜𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑚! 𝐼 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑘 𝑖𝑡 𝑖𝑠 𝑎 𝑤𝑜𝑛𝑑𝑒𝑟𝑓𝑢𝑙 𝑖𝑑𝑒𝑎 𝑡𝑜 ℎ𝑎𝑣𝑒 𝑎 𝑏𝑢𝑠𝑖𝑛𝑒𝑠𝑠 𝑤ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑒 𝑝𝑒𝑜𝑝𝑙𝑒 𝑐𝑎𝑛 𝑔𝑜 𝑡𝑜 𝑏𝑒 𝑎𝑟𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑑 𝑠𝑢𝑐ℎ 𝑤𝑜𝑛𝑑𝑒𝑟𝑓𝑢𝑙 𝑎𝑛𝑖𝑚𝑎𝑙𝑠!”

It reminded me of why we started on this path. It wasn’t to do anything more than share the horses. There are other complicated details to having a non-profit that managed to temporarily steal my focus, but it hasn’t changed who I am.

After I realized this, I discovered that I qualify for a Facebook Professional profile. This means that I can better streamline my business plans. I’m closing two business pages and have canceled three domain names to help me focus and get my goals back on track.

I wasn’t able to complete my goals last year (and my ideas have expanded on the same topics), so this year’s vision board remains the same. Basically:

1. 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐲 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐨𝐝 by finish writing my book Tools for Living a Victorious Life and starting a devotional series called God’s Garden.

2. 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐲 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐬 and create courses that promote personal growth via Healing Horse Touch

3. Improve my 𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐟𝐥𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 and 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌 𝒕𝒐𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒅 𝒎𝒚 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝒉𝒐𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑 𝒈𝒐𝒂𝒍𝒔

4. 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐲 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐟𝐬 while continuing creating and sharing my creative designs

This year’s mantras are: 𝐁𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜 and 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱!

I bought an easel for my painting. Now, it’s easier to keep the cat off and… I [almost] feel like a real artist!

Jan 4

Brr. Time to charge the heated gloves batteries!

Jan 5

There is a phrase on t-shirts, mugs, and such that says: “Touch my coffee and I’ll slap you so hard even GOOGLE won’t be able to find you”. My youngest has a cup like that, someone saw it and wanted one. So, I thought, “hey! I should make one for our store!”.

Only, I designed it and decided that that simply sounds too violent for me. So, are there ideas out that I could caption these images with about not touching this or that and what would happen if they did?

I am thinking of maybe a makeup bag…

Jan09-25

I woke up bright and early this morning (5:30) with this grand thought that I could do some writing in the book I started two years ago, but had to set aside due to my health not allowing enough brain cells to function last year. One of my three BIG goals for 2025 is to finished it, so I need to get started!

Well, about 15 minutes later, my grandson cheerily greets me: Good morning, Grandmama!

Ugh. So much for that idea!

It’s ok. I have managed to figure out which of the four documents I had was the most recent and consolidated the myriad of note documents that I have accumulated into one 5 page document to work with. Next on my list is to figure out what these notes are supposed to mean…

That will have to wait for another day though…

Never Be Afraid to Start Over. It’s a chance to build your life the way you always wanted.

2016 was certainly a restart for both Bob and I! He came from Tennessee and I from Oregon and met up in Minnesota, each to start new lives. We had no idea the love we would find and the experiences we would share! We are certainly building the life we’ve always wanted… with a few twists, of course.

I asked the grandkids if they were hungry. They said no. I said it’s a good thing because what I made is really ugly!

Of course, they had to see this ugly creation of mine… so, I showed them. The response was: Ew! You have to eat whatever THAT is by yourself!

“That” is supposed to be homemade potato wedges. I’ve made them plenty of times before… I have no idea what happened, but I’m kinda scared to try them!

Jan 11

I feel out-of-focus and scattered today. So unproductive.

Jan17-25

I have 100 or so things on my to-do list, but I think I’m going to start the weekend a little early. I need to de-stress and want to paint while I still have a little sunlight left…

Jan 17

Sooo tired of getting shocked every time I switch the light switch!

We have a humidifier running, but I didn’t remember is soon enough. We’re keeping at a crisp 15% humidity. Looking forward to the temperature rising again (and not freeze drying the air) on Wednesday!

Dogs. Gotta love them. Gives me a reason to practice using my new webcam.

Jan22-25

I’ve gotten my strength training for the day done… these ice blocks only range between 20-35 lbs each, but boy were they heavy by the time I got them upstairs into the bathtub!

Now, a smart person would have used the available cart or wheelbarrow to haul them the first 33 steps, but me?… I didn’t think of that until I was done! Oh well, it was a great workout!

We are hoping the heaters still work. If not, I guess we’ll be going shopping for more… if they can even be found after that cold spell!

I just had an interesting “conversation” with Meta AI. I asked it to compare itself to ChatGPT. It said that one of it’s strengths is having more up-to-date information. Then, I started asking questions specifically about marketing on Facebook now that FB shows fewer posts that have links and one of the suggestions was to use Notes to create a blog and/or newsletter. Notes was discontinued in 2020. I guess Meta forgot to give their AI the memo.

Curious question: Do you personally prefer receiving requested information sent to your email or via a community chat on facebook?

Jan 23

“Alexa” please cancel today. I feel like I’m getting sick.

Jan 24

I do believe I am on the mend. I think I’ve been dealing with a mild case of Covid made worse by the low humidity. Dry cough, bad headache, lots of nasal congestion, way too much sneezing and sooo tired.

Last night, I used my rescue inhaler after a bout of coughing left me feeling like my body was heavy and trying to walk through water. After that, I coughed up several chunks of mucus. This morning, the humidity is finally at the minimum 20% that I seem to need to breathe well. Now, I only have an occasional cough and not quite as tired.

Thankfully, I’m still tired enough to not be tempted to take on too many projects and risk a relapse.

Maybe tomorrow I can start enjoying the warmer weather and get a few things done…
