October 2025

For those of you who know me personally or have been reading my posts longer than this past year, I’m checking in to see if I’ve trained my AI properly or not. I have been asking AI to help clarify my thought the past few months and if I like it then I post it. So, do my posts still sound like ME?

I asked my AI want my voice and tone are. Do you think the response sounds like ME? I mean, this is what I want to sound like, but is it REAL?

VOICE (the personality behind your words)

Oct03-25

* Warm & Compassionate: You speak like a trusted friend or gentle guide who truly understands life’s challenges.

* Encouraging & Uplifting: Your words inspire hope and resilience, helping people believe they can find peace and healing.

* Inclusive & Accessible: You make sure everyone feels welcome, especially those who may have felt left out, unseen, or overwhelmed.

* Authentic & Heartfelt: You share from personal experience, creating a voice that feels real, transparent, and deeply human.

* Holistic & Nurturing: Your voice reflects the connection between mind, body, spirit, nature, and horses.

TONE (how your voice feels in the moment)

* Gentle & Soothing when offering comfort or sharing self-care practices.

* Empowering & Motivational when encouraging someone to take a step toward growth.

* Reflective & Thoughtful when sharing stories or inviting readers to pause and consider.

* Inviting & Community-Oriented when calling people to join your programs, follow along, or connect.

We had an abundance of dandelions this year—so many that whole sections of the pasture turned into a carpet of yellow, with hardly a trace of grass showing through. Bob looked at it one day and said, “Something needs to be done, or the horses won’t have anything to eat.”

So, he got creative. Using my little cart, he rigged up a sprayer that could be pulled behind the lawn mower. It turned into quite the project! He spent far more time researching safe options for horses and pets, figuring out the right concentration, building the sprayer system (complete with an on/off switch by his seat to avoid waste and over-spraying), and determining the perfect speed for mowing—than it actually took to do the spraying itself.

And the timing couldn’t have been better. It needed to be done before the first freeze, and sure enough, we woke up to a light frost this morning. Bob joked that the hardest part of the whole project will be waiting until spring to see if it actually worked.

The video is crazy short. I couldn’t tell if I was recording or not. I tried three times. I need to play a bit more with the video feature with my glasses on before recording without them again! lol

Oct08-25

I woke from a nightmare early this morning—a memory from long ago. The problem with vivid dreams is that you don’t just remember the past, you relive it. Every sound, every feeling, every fear returns as if it’s happening all over again.

Instead of curling up with my oversized teddy bear and hiding from life like I wanted to, I reached for my essential oils to help ground my emotions. Then came the familiar realization: I had to forgive the details of that old incident once more. “How many times is this now?” I asked myself. I’ve lost count.

Forgiveness, I’ve learned, isn’t an emotion. It’s a decision—an act of will. It doesn’t make what happened right, and it doesn’t mean you’ll ever allow it to happen again. Forgiveness is something you do for yourself, not for the other person. It’s how you release the anger that weighs you down so it doesn’t harden your heart. It’s not weakness. It’s strength.

As I sat there, it occurred to me that when Jesus spoke about forgiving someone again and again, it wasn’t to excuse the offense—it was to acknowledge the process. Sometimes, we must forgive the same person for the same wound many times. Not because we failed at forgiveness, but because healing has layers. Each time we forgive, another layer of pain loosens its grip.

No wonder there will be years of sorting through the details of judgment before claiming heaven as our home. Healing—like forgiveness—takes time, patience, and grace.

I looked out the living room window as dusk was setting in and was surprised to see the back end of a horse! I told Bob “We have a problem” as I dashed out the back door to get a bucket of grain. He went out the front and was already behind the barn before I got outside. He must have been moving fast!

Thankfully, a neighbor saw me headed out the drive and stopped to ask if we needed help. I let him know that I was hoping the horses would come for grain and he could see that Bob was already in front of the horses. So, I shook the grain bucket and called to them a few times. Once the horses saw the grain bucket, they came running!

The neighbor backed up, blocking the horses a bit from the highway and the horses followed me right back into the barn.

The side door latch had come loose and they just walked out. Guess what Bob’s next priority is? We do have a backup fence in place in case it happens again tonight. I am thankful the horses were willing to come back and that it hadn’t gotten dark just yet!

I’m not certain which neighbor stopped. I just hope he realizes how thankful we are for his willingness to help and obvious knowledge of horse mentality!

Why do you order cat food from Walmart, Diana? Don’t you find the boxes a waste when you could just go to the store?

For one thing, I don’t like going to the store. For another, I collect the boxes to lay down as weed barriers in future garden spots and storage areas.

Here is the section I’m working on this year. I wanted to have a much larger section done, but my thoughtful, darling husband took out the recycling without being prompted on one of the weeks I was gone. It was so thoughtful! It was almost painful for me to explain that I had plans for the nearly 50 large boxes and 20-some large plastic containers that had been set aside. Yep, that’s what I get for leaving a helpful husband alone!

It worked out though. I obviously didn’t have time for half of my plans this year and I can just start collecting again!

My oldest has been going through some stuff and writing about it. I decided to write an anthem for her (with a bit of help from AI 😉 ).

I created this video for our fundraising pages. What do you think? Bob says it’s weird seeing himself in a music video.
